Lost in Pace
Designed and built a physics-based multiplayer racing game with online play, AI opponents and bot backfill.

Overview
Lost in Pace is a physics-based car racing game where players pick one of four cars and race AI opponents or friends online. When an online lobby is short of players, bots join automatically so races always fill out.
My role & the team
Built solo — my first full 3D game.
What I built
- Implemented the physics-based driving and vehicle handling for four selectable cars.
- Built online multiplayer racing with Photon PUN2.
- Developed AI opponents and automatic bot backfill for under-filled online lobbies.
The technical challenge
A racing game needs handling that feels good under player control and AI that stays competitive on the same track — and online races that never feel empty.
My engineering approach
I built the driving on Unity's physics system, wrote AI drivers that share the track fairly, and added bot backfill through PUN2 so online lobbies always fill out.
Result
A complete, playable multiplayer racer released on itch.io.
